MidWest Nitro Series R3

The Midwest Nitro series is now half way through its chase for its Midwest Champ! R3 was held this past weekend at Cheese City Extreme in Monroe Wisconsin. The weekend before the event the MWNS crew went out and built a complete new layout along with the CCX club. Come Saturday with 157 entries showing up and the temps high, engine tuning and tire choice was critical through the day.

Come time for the mains, Pro Truggy saw Michael Paige and Taylor Timmerman dropping out early handing over the win to Jeff Stanford from Team C But It was a different story in Pro Buggy as Michael was able to make that TQ spot into a first place finish. Jimbo Kvidera and Zach Rose would come across the line to take the last two podium spots.

Not to disappoint the Int Buggy and Truggy class put on a great show as well. In Int Truggy it came down to the last lap with Matt Lust and Chris Aschliman. With Matt hugging a tube, Chris was able to get around and steal the first podium spot. Matt would come across second and Jason Hack taking the last spot. In Int Buggy Barry Richie was able to walk away putting a lap on the whole field. Chris Aschliam was able to pull away from third place Chris Eckelberg as well. On the last lap it was Barry Richie, Chris Aschliman and Chris Eckelberg to take all 3 top spots.

In Pro 4wd Short Course we saw Illinois top fast guys Allen Richards, Jim Anderson and local Adam Geurts take up the podium spots. In Pro 2wd Short Course Tim McNamara, Adam Geurts and Ryan Klemme would fill up the podium.
